The Vanities blew the roof off of The Priory in Glasgow on Friday night at their late show, they left everyone stunned and sweaty as per usual. Their sell out gig was packed full of eager rowdy fans who couldn't wait to have a smashing time. I managed to grab a ticket before there were none left and I'm so glad that I did.
These boys always give it their all and bring the best atmosphere wherever they go and Friday was no different. The guys took to the stage about 12ish and from the minute they walked on until their set was done it was absolute carnage. Playing a few of their tunes like punk heavy 'Scumbag' and crowd pleaser 'Johnny's a Reject' they really had the crowd going especially during 'She's Shambolic' every word was sung back to them, everyone was buzzing.
At the end of their set we were all blown away by their electrifying cover of 'Ca Plane Pour Moi' they revamped this classic tune and turned it into a punk anthem, I had never heard this song covered before so it really was a treat and something quite special in my opinion the heavy spin the band put on it made it their own. Their whole set was chaotic and I loved every minute of it The Vanities have yet to disappoint.
I really have a lot of time for these boys they keep up the standard punk image whilst being incredibly down to earth and humble. The amount of work and effort they put into each gig is astounding and I can't wait to see them do great things, no doubt they will.
