Lossiemouth four piece funk rock band The Roov have built a considerable following in 2018, having released three tracks (all of which have went on to achieve huge plays on Spotify).
Their new single, Cruisin, was released at the end of November and is the perfect way for the band to close their year. The single opens with a funky synth tone before the full band kick in. Grabbing attention immediately, the vocals of front-man Frankie Ralph are huge. Easily taking inspiration from the likes of The Beatles and synth pop bands, the track continues to shine.
The synth riff that plays throughout is really catchy and you can almost feel yourself nodding along each listen. The bridge section of the song creates a huge moment, where everything goes quiet and kicks straight back in, making you just want to dance.
The Roov have had a great year, and with the release of Cruisin the lads have a big 2019 planned. They are sure to feature on many festival bills, and they sound like they are definitely worth catching.
