Ahead of the greatly anticipated release of the new album due in October, the Glasgow rockers have blessed us with yet another single drop ‘How Does Your Love’ to tease us with what’s to come from the album.
Going where they haven’t before, different from releases like ’Absurd’ the group have taken a groovy approach to the new tune, even the cover art screams disco! Declan himself has confirmed that this song is a firm nod to all the provincial nightclubs of our hometowns especially Downtown in East Kilbride, the kind of dancings you’d get your fake ID ready for when you were younger, the thrill of the sticky floored dive bar.
This song scarily reminds me of the time my old work mates took me to this really rubbish nightclub like 10 minutes from work and it was easily one of the best/worst nights out of my life. I feel like that’s what this song depicts, you’ve been working all week and you just need a drink so the location becomes irrelevant and that’s how you in end up in the local dive because you are dying for some bevy and any kind of atmosphere. Declan tells the tale of winning a girl he fancies‘s affection on the dance floor, just a silly one night thing that didn’t hold any significance but at the time felt so important in the busy discotheque.
The band have injected some groovy vibes just in time for the new album drop and exciting winter tour where they will grace Saint Lukes with their presence in November!
