Well what can I say, The Snuts are well and truly back. The Scottish four – piece indie band have made their return and safe to say they have not disappointed! They released their new single ‘All Your Friends’ on the 23rd May and I need to admit I have pretty much had it on repeat since.

The Snuts very quickly made their mark on the Scottish scene, I remember the first time I saw them when they supported Shambolics back in 2017, thinking they were definitely ones to watch. They have only grown since then and the release of ‘All Your Friends’ has already proven popular within the Scottish scene and beyond.

The tune starts with a steady echoing guitar riff, shortly after the catchy bass rhythm kicks in and the drums follow. The track reels you in right from the start and the instrumental focus really sets the tone. As soon as I heard it, my first thought was that it sounded different from other tunes by The Snuts, a lot more clean cut and polished, which I really like.

The track progresses into the first verse smoothly and the vocals soon kick in. The rhythm behind the track is different for the band but the distinctive vocals from front man Jack Cochrane make it instantly recognisable as a Snuts tune. The bridge is intense, with the lyrics “do you remember when we” being repeated before exploding into a very defiant chorus. The verses are very much vocals focused with a steady rhythm behind them, but the end of the track more than makes up for it with a very powerful instrumental. The tune comes to a sudden end, leaving you wanting to listen again and again.

The Snuts are without a doubt, ones to watch and if this track is anything to go by, their future stuff is going to be outstanding. The release of ‘All Your Friends’ was the perfect comeback for, it has already gained so much popularity and the hype is showing no signs of stopping. The band have just played Neighbourhood Festival and have plenty more gigs and festivals lined up for over Summer, so I’d really recommended catching them if you can.
