Dundee band The Medinas have stormed onto Scotland’s music scene with their new single "Dying Young". From headlining one of Dundee’s most infamous venues last year to supporting numerous different bands, it is without doubt that these four lads will be one to look out for in the upcoming months and years. 2018 seen the band playing sold out shows across Dundee, supporting the likes of Voodoos, Vida and Beta Waves.
With their recent summer single 'Daisy Chains' gaining over 26,000 streams on Soundcloud alone, 2019 is set to be a big year for the group. The new single 'Dying Young' made available on major platforms including Apple Music and Spotify from the beginning of April, has seen the band gain recognition worldwide.
The prominent riff heard throughout the track is what makes this single so recognisable, yet so easily likeable, with the rich and resonant vocal adding to the distinctive sound of this track. The band have captured a unique sound and I am looking forward to seeing how their music evolves in the upcoming months.
