SINGLE REVIEW| Midnight Alleys | Love Has Left Town

Bringing out a new concept to the local scene Midnight Alleys kicked off their musical journey with their debut single “Love Has Left Town”.

“Love Has Left Town” begins as though you’re jumping straight into the middle of the chorus with an intricate and impressive bluesesq guitar solo followed by distinct drumbeats which helps to throw you into the first vocals.

Anyone who has seen Midnight Alleys (or Neil Morrison in one form or another) will understand just how unique Neil’s voice is. How someone can portray such a bluesy sound just through their vocals is beyond me. A key aspect is how the vocals are simplistic meaning that it will not be long till you are singing along and bobbing to it.

The melodies in “Love Has Left Town”, despite subtle, are very intrinsic in what makes this tune so great, along with, as I said before, the hypnotic guitar solos backed up by low mellow bass line which rings out through the entire song.

In all “Love Has Left Town” is the perfect representation of Midnight Alleys and their own unique sound within the local scene as well as an ideal tune to pick for their debut single.
