Upcoming acoustic artist Dylan John Thomas has had an exciting start in the Scottish music industry. From having a sold out show in The Audio in Glasgow to supporting the one and only Gerry Cinnamon on his UK shows and in Amsterdam. Not to forget that he got to play on a sold-out stage at Glasgow's famous Barrowland Ballroom! How cool is that? After teasing fans by playing 'Nobody Else' whilst on tour, he is finally releasing it this Friday, March 21st, 2019 and we can't wait to listen to it again and again!
'Nobody Else' is a beautiful love song which has incredibly sweet lyrics. It starts off with a soft upbeat guitar melody which immediately sets the adoring tone of the song. The opening lyric: "I want nobody else, rather be by myself if I'm without you" which is also the chorus of the single, draws the listener in as the lyric is strong and shows that he really loves the person he is singing about. It makes you smile when you listen as we all have a special someone who we adore and would be lost without, therefore it makes the song extremely relatable and this is why I love it so much. It really tugs on your heartstrings when you know the feeling firsthand and makes you think, "aww bless him".
"See your face in my dreams, I still love you // You picked me up when I was low but I'll never let you know" shows that he is reflecting on memories with this person and he misses them so dearly that he can't stop thinking about them. This can suggest that maybe he is reflecting on the loss of someone special that he was close to. The lyrics really hit close to home for me as I can relate to this sort of heartache, it makes me feel all sorts of emotions. After that lyric, there is an upbeat solo that takes your mind off of the sad lyrics and perks the listener up, the same way that it does at the beginning of the song. The powerfully emotional lyrics mixed with the chirpy guitar riff is genius as it doesn't make the song too sad to listen to, it adds to the passion of it overall.
Unfortunately, Dylan John Thomas doesn't have any more Scottish shows lined up at the moment but fans are keeping their eyes peeled in hopes he'll announce something soon! He has teased fans that he has lots planned for 2019! Hopefully a cheeky appearance at TRNSMT?? Please??? He is currently still supporting Gerry Cinnamon on his UK tour. The sold-out tour starts off in Newcastle this Friday, which is the same day 'Nobody Else' is released so it'll be a thrilling and successful day for him!

The lyrics are extremely relatable which makes the song so enjoyable to listen to.
