SINGLE REVIEW | CRASH CLUB | TRANSMISSION

Updated: Sep 9, 2019

Transmission by Crash Club Feat Ian Mackinnon released 19th July 2019 is a mammoth six minute long absolute banger.

Starting off with an electronic/synth feel which bursts into a captivating beat that brings in the powerful vocals of Ian Mackinnon who takes us in a different direction that we originally think the song might go and gives us more indie vibes.

The mix of the genres shows us we are listening to a band that is not afraid to break boundaries and mess with the status quo mixing Dance, Techno and Indie rock giving this song full of power and punch.

Catching and keeping your attention from the first beat to the last is a hard thing to do with any song but somehow this band have figured out how to do it for the whole six minutes worth of Transmission changing up the beat, tempo and even rhythm in some parts of the song to keep us on our toes.

It’s not just the music that keeps us going through this song, the lyrics and vocals are just as demanding for your attention changing just as much as the beat but also keeping that strong powerful indie sound.

The lyrics take us on a journey with the singer from the first sentence

"It's the feeling, when you just got paid, and your breathing, takes a sharp intake, and you know, where you should not be, but the call of the devil dust is just to great" .

By the end of the first listen it feels like a song you have known for ages in the beast kind of way.

This is definitely a band to keep an eye out for in the future and give them a listen if you haven’t already... you won’t be disappointed!
