PREMIERE | Felix and the Sunsets - Whose Happiness Is This?

Updated: Apr 24, 2019

Felix and the Sunsets

We've got another fantastic premier for you guys here at Discovery Music, from 'imaginative garage rockers' Felix and the Sunsets!

The Leith based trio are all set to release another brilliant single, "Whose Happiness Is This?" This dark, alt-rock tune is true to the bands style, and it's clear to see that they take their inspiration from Jack White, screeching guitars and a pounding White Stripes esque drumbeat, and the Stooges, for an Iggy Pop type off beat vocal.

Written by frontman Felix Christie, the song conveys how out of touch people can be at times, and how music can be a catalyst for change. With lyrics stating that global leaders are taking the mickey out of us all (Your leaders take the piss"), and how capitalism is taking over ("Shopping induces bliss"), the song is melancholic, but when its a social commentary, that's what you want, isn't it?

The single is out on Friday, 26th April and will be the second of many from the band this year. Have a listen to it below.
