A Saturday night at The Priory is never dull, especially not last weekend as chaotic foursome The Roly Mo celebrated the release of their brand new single 'Cuttin About' with a gig supported by the fantastic Nü Cros and Spyres, this really wasn't one to miss!

With the tiny bar beginning to get packed full of eager and supportive fans, relatively new band Spyres took to the stage first. This was the first time I had seen or listened to them and I was completely lost for words, the gave us a few of their unreleased grunge ballads as well as a cover of Wolf Alice's 'Moaning Lisa Smile' which they absolutely smashed! This group put so much vocal power and emotion into each track making their performance really impressive and I love to see more girls getting into the scene at the minute. These fresh faces are supporting Baby Strange alongside Voodoos in August if you fancy catching them!

Next up was Nü Cros and I was completely blown away! Again, I had never seen this band before so I was pleasantly surprised by their electrifying set, the band played their single

'Hotel' which has over 42 thousand streams on Spotify showing these guys have a cracking fanbase and you can definitely tell they love playing music by the passion in the vocals that accompanied the stealthy guitar riffs. The boys treated us to a cover of 'Television' by punk madmen Idles which was mental and the crowd went mad for it! If you haven't seen them before then I would recommend bagging yourself a ticket for their headline show at the Garage in July.

Finally The Roly Mo took to the stage, I've seen a lot of theses boys in the past few months and I've not once gotten bored they really are something special. Within the first few minutes of the gig you could tell it was going to be a sweaty one, they don't struggle to create a buzzing atmosphere a talent which will credit them throughout the band's whole career. The new tune 'Cuttin' About' went down a treat with the crowd as expected, there was complete chaos on the floor as they played some unreleased tunes as well as catchy anthems 'If You Play Nice' and 'Fooled By You' which have proved popular since being released. This mad foursome always have a perfect sound, everything fits together smashingly and they manage to put on a class show. These boys have been lucky enough to bag a slot supporting Baby Strange alongside Snash on a sold-out night of their tour in August, so if you have a ticket you're in for a treat!
