Live at The Record Factory coming at you tomorrow is the now well-established What’s The Noise Presents. Bringing you the “best local talent yer wee ears can handle” with some eagerly awaited appearances from Saint-Louie, Static Suns, Concrete Boots, The Streams and A Maxwell. It’s set to be a spiffing spread of diverse musical prowess.
Saint-Louie are a rock & roll/indie outfit coming from Dundee, Arbroath and Brechin. After forming in 2017 they have already made massive headway in supporting Alabama 3, The Snuts and Neon Waltz to mention a few. Continually developing and working on new material, their first double A side single “Silver Spoon/Devil Inside” which was recorded live has been well received and their live performances have been nothing short of game-changing. Bringing you the best of the old with the genius of the now.
Next in the line-up are Static Suns, a four-piece from Ayrshire who air more on the side of punk meets rock & roll. Formed in 2015 as a three-piece and later being joined by their guitarist James. After establishing a strong following in their home county, they are now making their mark on a national level, playing gigs across the country. Their debut EP ‘Hopeful’ was released at the end of last year, earning them a spot on STV’s Live @ Five show. They will release their next double track single as of tomorrow so be sure to check out ‘Strobe Light’ which promises to be something a little Funkier.
Concrete Boots on the other hand are an alt-rock band from Glasgow, coming at you with a number of releases over the past year, including their EP ‘Text Me When You Get Home’ which is a raw exposition of rhythmic guitar and fringe-flicking beats. Guttural vocals and honest lyrics complete their sound. They look to be a promising addition to the Scottish music scene.
Another creative melange of greatness are The Streams who were “born from a shared vision of creativity and a burning desire to succeed”. Originally from Glasgow, they are a four-piece pop rock group who formed in 2017. Working with university students in Glasgow, they put together their first album which takes its inspiration from classic 60s rock mashed together with Britpop, which sounds like a sick combination of musical brilliance.
Finally, A Maxwell, the only solo project of the evening, is no other than Aonghas Maxwell. Originally from Edinburgh, is a multi-instrumentalist who has featured across the Glasgow music scene not to mention his up and coming single release this November. His vocals are electrifying and will send lightning bolts through your wee ears all the way down to your toes. His tunes are full of emphatic emotion, and you can feel the combination of intelligent musical talent with lyrical flair ring through when he performs.
So get yourself along to the West end tomorrow for a wee Friday full of spectacular musical surprises at The Record Factory. Keep your eyes peeled for many wonderful things to come from all of these unbelieve acts.
