Up and coming indie band “Vistas” yet again have pleasantly surprised us with their new single “Like An American”. Although the group have done their rounds of the Glasgow music scene, I think that this particular track will be the breakthrough that they have been waiting for.
The infectious chorus combining elements of both indie and electro-pop is one that doesn’t fail to have you singing the three words “like an American” on repeat. The deep bass line, overlapped with “The 1975” influenced vocals initiates the true glory of this track.
With strong influences from a wide range of artists with the likes of “Kings of Leon”, “The Strokes” and "Biffy Clyro", the band have still managed to recapture the magic in their previous singles, whilst still holding an element of uniqueness to this track, which can be demanding, with most bands failing in this regard.
From the band supporting indie rock band “Circa Waves” in their tour back in April, to selling out their first ever UK headline tour this May, the group have burst into Scotland’s music scene gaining recognition for their catchy lyrics. It is no doubt that this group will be one to look out for in the upcoming months and years.
