Single Review| The Reason | Never Let Me Down

With its tropical indie influences and nostalgic vocals Glasgow band “The Reason” have broken expectations with their new single “Never Let Me Down”. Giving off a similar vibe to Two Door Cinema Club, Sundara Karma and Circa Waves, the band are set up for big things in 2019. Having played in venues across Glasgow with the likes of St Lukes, King Tuts and The O2 ABC, the band are set to make an appearance in Broadcast - one of Glasgow’s best venues for up and coming artists.

It is to mention the technical ability that is demonstrated throughout this track as it gets increasingly more complex as it progresses. The ticking clocks heard in the middle of the track make it not only easily recognisable but give it an edgy feel, captivating the listener in throughout. The lyrical content of the track, empowering others to make the most of what you have showcases the obvious talent that they possess.

Their earlier release “Just The Same” clearly identifies the particular sound that the band are trying to achieve, with their new release following on perfectly from the last. Their obvious musical abilities is evident in both of their releases and I cannot wait to see what they have in store in the upcoming months.

Be sure to check out their set in Broadcast on Friday 27th September!
