SINGLE REVIEW | The Plastic Mac | Sleep Together

Writer's picture: Emma Lawrence Emma Lawrence

The Plastic Mac's latest single Sleep Together is a stark departure for the other three singles they have already put into the world. Where D'You Hear Me is a straight up rock and roll banger, Sleep Together is certainly something more somber.

There is still a pounding drum beat, and a catchy guitar hook, but its one for a more chilled out, hazy summer day The single takes them in an new direction, and there is something distinctly 1960's about it. You can almost imagine it being used in the title scenes from the cult classic movie Beyond the Valley of the Dolls

That being said, it has a certain Oasis-type edge to it, which, is certainly no bad thing! The single is a treat for your ears, and a perfect accompaniment for a sunny day at the beach, or a hazy road trip.
