Single Review| The Fences| Going Under

Clydebank band The Fences further break expectations with their newest release "Going Under" with the group set to play numerous venues across Glasgow.

The Fences, a perfect representation of what the Scottish music scene has to offer. The 5 piece band from Clydebank have broken the typical Rock N’ Roll sound, mixing elements of 60’s and 70’s melodies to create a memorable, yet addictive sound. Their latest release, “Going Under” clearly demonstrates their obvious musical talents, whilst keeping their Scottish roots close to their heart. Formed in January 2018, the band have been gaining recognition throughout Glasgow, securing a headline gig on the 22nd of August in the Hug and Pint and it sure is not one to miss.

The rich, resonant vocals heard throughout the entirety of the track captivates the listener in from the very beginning. Despite proving a storm with the locals in their area, the group also contributed hugely to Macmillan Cancer Charity by playing a set in the well known local pub John Browns in Clydebank. The gig itself raised more than £1000, making the band well known for their generosity to a charity so close to their hearts. This year is set to be their best yet and I cannot wait to see what else they have planned.

Be sure to check out their live set in Nice N Sleazys, Glasgow on Friday 16th August in support of indie band Sugarspun.

Have a listen to their latest release “Going Under”
