This Edinburgh born singer/songwriter has had quite the journey so far in his short career. After quitting his day job back in 2014 Greg has had stints in the city of angels (Los Angeles) and Dubai, but always finds his way back to Scotland to release his music locally. Along the way so far are some big achievements. While living in Dubai Greg made his very first television appearance playing live on MBC (a middle eastern TV network). He also managed to secure some stage time at major events including the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix and the Dubai World Cup.
The track 'Heart of a lion' was written by Greg during his time in LA and is a song about his time
away and being far from loved ones. The track kicks off with some piano which is very pleasant on the ear, soon the piano is joined by some electronic style percussion which is an unusual combination but works well. The vocals sit very high in the mix and although getting around the planet a fair bit it is evident from this track alone that Greg's Scottish accent is still very much there. The whole track has a very unhurried feel to and lifts very well from the verses to the fast paced, catchy choruses. The backing vocals during the last chorus which I believe are samples are a great addition to the song and just take to the next level. The song ends with a nice guitar solo and the music fades away to leave just the last vocals "You'll never break the heart of a lion" which is a very fitting ending to an overall fantastic song.
The song will be released on the 11th May on all major platforms. I strongly suggest listening to the music produced by this guy and getting along to see him before the tickets are way more expensive. Links below.
