We recently had a chat with Struan McFarlane, lead guitarist from Scottish Rock band, Bad Actress, here's what he had to say ...

How would you sum up your 2018?

23 gigs, 12 venues , 8 locations and a lot of fun.

Plans for 2019?

Bigger, better, louder, more!

Any new music in the pipeline?

We have two new songs that have been played live for the first time ever on our EP launch shows at the start of this year. More new songs to come.

What are your influences for song writing?

We are influenced by a range of bands including Motörhead, AC/DC, Mötley Crüe, Aerosmith etc... We like to write catchy fist pumping rock n roll.

Thoughts on the Scottish Music Scene?

A great place for up an coming bands.

Favourite Scottish bands or artists?

Hunt, Devil’s Queen, King Kobalt, Section 9, Wilson Noble, to name a few!

If you could cover a song, what would it be and why?

We do a few covers such as Ace of Spades and Same old Song and Dance, but our planning a cover of Thunderstruck very soon.

What's the most bizarre thing to happen while you were onstage?

We’ve had a few strange things happen... One time I was lying on the floor playing a guitar solo and Vince (singer) tripped, stood on my head and fell over!

If you only had one album to listen to, what would it be?

It would have to be AC/DC’s Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.

What is your guilty pleasure song?

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Gets me pumped every time.

If you had your own festival, who would be your 3 headliners?

Aerosmith, Ac/Dc and of course Bad Actress!
