Presenting memorable songs and a contagious, explosive energy, Patersani’s From You, From Here is their newest 4 track EP. Patersani is soaring through the rankings and really making a name for themselves in the Scottish music scene. The band was formed by 4 individuals from Glasgow, and since their formation in 2014, they’ve had some exciting TV and radio appearances. The new EP is proof of why they’re successful and the fun, upbeat tunes are both fresh and energising. It’s the type of music I would genuinely recommend to listeners because Patersani are already an upcoming band and have such an air of positivity in their music that screams to be on the big stage.

It is irresistibly hard not to sing along to the first track on the EP, Ella Ella. There are so many sounds that fill your ears and the beats throughout make the song enjoyable. The main vocalist in the band, Craig Paterson, sings a melody that makes Patersani distinct and recognisable – I believe the vocals are one of the strongest aspects of the band. As the introductory song, From You, From Here coaxes you to keep listening and won't let you down!

Some Other Guy is the second song on the EP and also my favourite. This one has more of an emotional resonance, but the pacing of the song still keeps it fun. It starts slow with the piano and echoing vocals before introducing their creative beat and guitar that gives Patersani their rock sound. By the end of the song, there is a real progression of power that makes me love it so much.

Fast-paced and energy driven, the next track Planets was another strong addition to the EP. It feels like a classic track to have playing on a long car journey and the fact that Patersani are so easy to listen to is what makes them a new favourite. The sudden ending to the song was something that surprised me as it flowed onto the last song on From You, From Here. I like the change though, and Patersani show that they are able to bring a bit of variety to their music.

The grand finale to From You, From Here is Bound which manages to keep their spirit whilst slowing the EP to an end. The low vocals and strong baselines really stood out to me here and Patersani have a real knack in creating songs that make you want to dance around the room. As a whole, the EP had me searching other songs by the band and I would consider myself invested in seeing a live show of theirs. They have just released a music video for Ella Ella and it’s just as fun as the song itself!
